NZIHL August 30, 2021  377

Today, the Government advised that Alert Level 4 will remain in place in Auckland for another two weeks, with a review of what’s next due on Monday 13th September.

In a previous announcement, we advised of our intention to push the semi-final and grand final series back, to increase the likelihood these can be played with fans present. The proposed dates are:

  • NZIHL Semi-Final: Proposed change to the weekend of 24/25/26 September in Auckland.
  • NZIHL Grand-Final: Proposed change to the weekend of 1/2/3 October in Queenstown.

Since we are still unsure of exactly when Alert Levels that will allow the games to be played will come in to effect, we are, as of writing, unable to make any further updates to these proposed dates.

Accordingly, the NZIHF Management Committee will meet on Monday 13th September, following the latest Government announcement about Alert Levels in Auckland, and we will provide an update to fans at this time.
