3442025 Nzihl Playoffs – Ticketing & Event Information
The 2025 NZIHL season has been one of the closest in recent years, with the top four playoff spots yet to be decided as we head into the last few weeks of competition.
We are sharing information about the 2025 playoffs early, to help our dedicated fans plan for all eventualities – as we know how much you all want to enjoy playoff hockey!
Playoffs will be contested as follows:
Semi-Final One – Friday 1st & Saturday 2nd August in Queenstown: SkyCity Stampede 2nd vs. Phoenix Thunder 3rd – best of two series.
Semi-Final Two: – Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th August in Botany, Auckland: Botany Swarm 1st vs. Pure NZ West Auckland Admirals 4th – best of two series.
Grand-Finals: Winner of Semi-Final One vs. Winner of Semi-Final Two. Home location will be given to the highest seeded team remaining.
Grand-Finals Schedule:
The schedule and location for the grand-finals won’t be known until the conclusion of the semi-finals on 10th August. Hosting rights for the grand-finals will go to the highest seeded team remaining from the semi-finals.
If the Grand Final is held in Auckland:
Game One: Saturday 16th August
Game Two: Sunday 17th August
Game Three (if required): Monday 18th August
If the Grand Final is held in Dunedin or Queenstown:
Game One: Friday 15th August
Game Two: Saturday 16th August
Game Three (if required): Sunday 17th August
Semi-Final Series Ticketing Information:
Tickets for all semi-final and grand-final games will be sold via Ice Hockey New Zealand’s ticketing website: https://store.icehockeynz.co.nz/game-tickets/
3:00pm Tuesday 22nd July: Home & Away Team Club Member & Season Pass Holder Pre-Sale
12:00pm Wednesday 23rd: Public sale
The ONLY place to purchase tickets is via Ice Hockey New Zealand’s ticketing website. We expect all events to be SELLOUTS, so cannot guarantee door sales. Regular season “season passes” are not valid for entry to semi-final games. A semi-finals specific ticket must be purchased.

If required, tickets to game 3 will go on-sale approximately 1 hour after the conclusion of game 2.
