As teams get ready to take to the ice this weekend for the first points-eligible games of the 2022 season, the NZIHL is proud to announce the introduction of a steering committee to aid in the growth, development and direction of the NZIHL as it continues to expand.

The committee is made up of legendary current and former players such as Andy Hay and Paris Heyd, as well as individuals such as Simon Glass who have contributed tirelessly to the NZIHL since its inception in 2005.

Collectively, these people have achieved so much in the NZIHL and ice hockey in New Zealand as a whole, and they bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, Mana and a fresh perspective for the NZIHL’s future.

The committee is also made up of people from around the country who are a part of the NZIHF Management Committee and national coaching programme and will assist with the direction and planning of NZIHL in to the future, with many new and exciting initiatives as the league continues to grow and develop throughout the country.
