The second week in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League saw all five teams in action over the weekend.

The New Zealand Ice Hockey League officially got underway this weekend, with Round 1 being held at the Dunedin Ice Stadium in Dunedin.

The NZIHL is in its fourth season this year and consists of 5 Teams competing over 10 rounds to be crowned New Zealand Ice Hockey League Champions for 2008.

Botany Swarm

HOME RINK : Paradice Botany, Auckland

Canterbury Red Devils
HOME RINK : Alpine Ice, Christchurch

 

Dunedin Thunder
HOME RINK : Dunedin Ice Rink, Dunedin

HOME RINK : Queenstown Fun Centre, Queenstown

 

West Auckland Admirals

HOME RINK : Paradice Avondale, Auckland

 

The NZIHL teams are predominantly made up of New Zealand players, but each team is able to import seven players from outside of New Zealand and the league has been lucky enough to secure players from Canada, USA, Italy, France, Sweden and Finland for the 2008 season.
