Tararua Real Iced Coffee Southern Stampede v Canterbury Red Devils

The game got off to a bizarre start when the Stampede defenceman and Ice Black Bert Haines who had been assessed a Game Misconduct late in the previous game was sent to the changing room at the opening face-off. This had a dramatic effect on the Stampede and the Red devils scored 2 goals in the first period. The first at 3.46 scored by Soffer assisted by Speck and Krumm.
