The Swarm and the Admirals appeared to be evenly matched during
the first period which was a scoreless frame, with two penalties a
side, and 15 shots on goal from each team.
It all happened in the second period, the Swarm had a
breakthrough when #16, Alexandr Polozov flicked the puck up over
the Admiral Goalies right shoulder, opening the floodgates for the
Swarm to score six goals in this period. Polozov scored again just
two minutes later, and #19 KC Ball put the puck straight through
the legs of the goalie. Swarm Captain Andrew Hay scored goal number
4 on the power play with 7 minutes left on the clock. The last two
goals happened in quick succession during the last minutes of the
period by Charlie Huber and a breakaway by Jordan Challis.
There was a total of 78 penalty minutes during the second
including two gross misconducts, one to each team.
One final goal was scored in the third period by KC Ball just 33
seconds from the finish to bring the score to 7 0 to the Swarm.
